A small resinous shrub with an extensive root system grows on rocky outcrops in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and the North West locally. It is dormant for up to nine months until a spot of rain regenerates it to a flourishing green making it what is called a 'zombie' plant. This remarkable revitalising plant contains medicinal compounds which are believed to have potent anti-ageing properties. Inhallation alleviates chest pains and symptoms of depression.
 
Our Resurrection Bush is sourced from Zimbabwe where it grows more prolifically in the cracks and crags and where harvesting and oil steam distillation is more established. It also brings our Southern African neighbouring roots to our range.
