Frankincense is a natural amber-coloured gum resin extracted from drought tolerant shrub trees, that has been used as a perfume, incense and medicine throughout time. Kenyan Frankincense (Boswellia Neglecta) is relatively rare, black in colour and endemic to East Africa. This resin is sustainably harvested and steam-distilled to release the essential oil that has complex sweet-spicey terpenic aromatic notes.
